This course is available open to all visiting students but only as a second semester course.
Course Content
The course introduce student to an overview of exploration activities in Ghana since 1896 when the first oil well was drill till the present exploration and production activities. It also looks at the upstream activities of other jurisdictions in oil and gas exploration and production. It will also differentiate between conventional and unconventional types of oil and gas as well as their impact on the environment.
Teaching
The course will be made up of lectures, discussion on topical issues in the oil industry and assignments.
Formative Coursework
The course is made up of Interim Assessment, Assignments and Final Examination.
