Residence Permit and Non-Citizen Ghana Card
You will need to regularize your stay once you arrive in Ghana.
Current rates:
Non-Citizen Ghana Card: US$ 120.00 or GHS equivalent
Renewal of Non-Citizen Ghana Card: US$60.00 or GHS equivalent
Penalty for Non-Renewal: ECOWAS – GHS 60.00/month; Non-ECOWAS- GHS 80.00/month
Resident Permit: US$60.00
Visa Extension: US$60.00
Single to Multiple Entry Visa: US$ 75.00 for 3 months

In Ghana, you will need a residence permit to stay for the duration of your studies. In addition, all internationals are required to have the Non-Citizen Ghana Card.
Non-Citizen Ghana Card Application Requirements:
- Introductory letter from IPO
- UG admission letter/Appointment letter (original and 2 photocopies)
- Proof of payment of fees
- Bank statement (not applicable to students)
- Travel passport
- Student/Staff ID
- 4 passport-sized photographs
Residence Permit Application/Renewal requirements:
- Introductory letter from IPO
- UG admission letter (original and 2 photocopies)
- Non-Citizen Ghana Card
- Proof of payment of fees
- Bank statement (not applicable to students)
- Travel passport
- Student/Staff ID
- 4 passport-sized photographs
*Failure to acquire or renew both will attract a penalty.
Rates for the above services are as follows:
- Non-Citizen Ghana Card: US$ 120.00
- Renewal of Non-Citizen Ghana Card: US$ 60.00
- Resident Permit: US$ 60.00
- Conversion of Single to Multiple-Entry Visa: US$ 75.00 for 3 months
