Course Content
The “New” Literatures in English is a term that refers to creative expression and imaginative writing from countries and cultures that experienced the political phenomenon known as colonialism. In this course, we will primarily focus on literature from Africa and its Diaspora, with a few gestures to other previously colonized spaces. We will engage with this literature through technological lenses, as we consider the role that technology - oral, print, and digital - plays in the production, engagement, and dissemination of literature.
